Welcome to the
AMU Alumni Association of the Pacific Northwest
The AMUAAPNW website is a digital space dedicated to the celebration of the rich legacy of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India and the enduring bond that unites its alumni, who have not only contributed to the university’s illustrious history, but continue to make a positive impact around the world.
The Pacific Northwest region, also referred to as Cascadia, includes the states of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Wyoming, Idaho and Montata in the United States, as well as the province of British Columbia in Canada. An extraordinarily beautiful part of North America, it is also a major technological and commerce hub, and the birthplace of Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon and many other major companies. Some of the major cities include Seattle, Surrey, Vancouver BC and Portland.
Our goal is to foster a sense of nostalgia, inspiration, and connection with our alma mater, and a spirit of camaraderie and collaboration. Our members include those who graduated recently or decades ago, while each member’s unique perspective and story adds to the tapestry of our collective narrative, and is an integral part of the AMU legacy.
We help organize the annual event of Sir Syed Day over a weekend close to Oct 17. To find out more or get in touch with the local Aligarian community, please email us at amuaapnw@gmail.com
